Barcelona Dream on Ice?
Marcus RashfordPotential Marcus Rashford move. Most clubs are interested in Marcus Rashfor,d and he won’t join another one in January, Barcelona are href=”https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/man-utd-transfer-news-live-17182357″ target=”_self”>heavy admirersThe 21-year-old’s current contract runs until June 2020 and Barcelona are long-term suitors for the United forward in negotiations with the club as he can open talks with foreign teams in January. In July 2023, Rashford penned a “new five-year deal worth over £300,000 a week” at the club after a successful season in which he “scored close to 30 goals”. But his loan at Aston Villa last season – with whom he “emerged as someone that could still do it at the very highest level” with “a couple of goals[and] four assists” – has the swivel-eyed former England striker on Manchester United’s books. Aston Villa had a “£40 million option to buy him but decided against it,” returning him to Old Trafford.
Rashford has himself already revealed that he would like to play for Barcelona, saying, “Yes, I would love to play for Barcelona in future, they are a nice team”. He explained his career plan a little more in April, telling ESPN: “I still want to play at the highest level and still want to compete in the Champions League. A further fuel has been added to the fire with recent words to Spanish YouTubers Expire, where he made comments about wanting to “play with Lamine one day”, with Lamine referred to being Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal. “I believe everyone in the world wants to play with the best, and hopefully we will see the”.
Rashford is their second choice behind “Nico Williams, who is very much the front runner”, should they find a way to make their finances stretch. Barcelona’s financial problems are a big obstacle, and they have to be “very creative and careful with what they do”. And while Barcelona’s Deco is a big fan of Rashford, he is “not at the top of the list”. “Rashford is difficult, because United still want around £40m for him, his wages are huge, and it will be complex; it will go on into the window – maybe into August, maybe even near to deadline day.”
Kenny Tete to Everton: Awaiting Confirmation
A potential deal for Fulham’s Kenny Tete to Everton is “as good as” done, although “it’s not done done yet.” Tete signed a five-year deal when he joined Fulham in September 2020, but his contract expired this summer despite Fulham being keen to prolong his stay. With boss David Moyes said to be a “huge fan of Kenny Tete”, Everton are ”definitely looking like they are in the box seat”. Dialogue is being pursued between Everton and Tete’s representatives, with no truth to social media claims that a deal is already done.
How Chelsea Approached the Transfer Market: Sensibly and Strategically
Chelsea’s transfer business this summer looks set to be about consolidation and making key decisions, rather than bringing in a raft of new players.
Goalkeeper, would you like to see Simon have the chance to develop the boys spotted for the club? The Mike Maignan saga has finished, and “the chapter with regards to Mike Maignan is now closed”. However, a “big gap in valuation” meant that Chelsea “walked away from the deal”, despite “dialogues between the two football clubs”. The club are understood to be ‘happy with the goalkeepers we’ve got’ – and we have ‘seven eight nine goalkeepers’. They plan to loan one out to Strabourg for experience and sell another; it suggests “bringing in another goalkeeper is not high on their list at the moment.”
Nicolas Jackson Not for Sale: Striker Nicolas Jackson,n, who has had a’s really strong season at Stamford Bridge this season with 10 goals and five assists in the Premier League, but is ‘not for sale’. Although there is ”interest in the player from Saudi Pro League, from other sides in Europe, from maybe one or two other Premier League teams”, the new Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca “wants to go into the new campaign with two the number nines two top-class number nines”. Jackson is viewed as one of those two, of whom he signed a “monstrous deal” that will see him “in the building until 2033”. So, “any offer is going to have to be a big offer as uh otherwise it’s not going to work”.
